Roadmap

What UniverLab is building now, next, later, and what has shipped.

Now 2

astro-denoise: reproducible benchmark of noise-reduction methods for Rubin DC2 images

Open-source platform comparing noise-reduction methods on simulated Rubin DC2 images by the faint sources they recover, the image quality they leave and their cost. Released in small versions toward 1.0 and a JOSS submission.

facetMedia: creation tools for agents, each in its own pinned environment, with verified output

One command installs a creation tool in its own pinned environment and runs it for an agent through one --json contract, with skills served on demand. Every asset comes out verified and recorded. v1 covers the whole lab: voice, video, image, audio, documents, CAD and 3D.

Next 5

UniverLab site: a clearer Canopy page and a round of corrections

Say what Canopy is for before how it is built, keep release versions current on the experiment pages, and a round of small corrections across the site.

general

Canopy web polish: a resize that restores itself, graphs drawn from the middle, and a patterns review

The remote resize re-enabled and fixed, graph edges entering and leaving from the middle of each node with the travelling dot driving every node glow, and a review of the drawing patterns shared by graphs and remote.

canopy

Adversarial specs: random ensembles, in-engine review, a spec-reading router, and the remote polish

A closer Canopy version: the random ensemble kind, the reviewer and router inside the engine, the resize bugs, the Cursor fixes, the performance pass, and the graph and theme UX corrections.

Quorum agent-ready: advertise only what exists

Bring the Quorum page up the way univerlab.org and graphs were done, advertising only resources that exist. Work lands in UniverLab/quorum with its own queue.

TeXForge 1.0: diagram presets in step with the refreshed templates, and older projects that still build

The first lab CLI through the 1.0 gate: a frozen, documented command surface, Mermaid, D2 and Graphviz presets restyled to match the new template typography and accent, and projects created by earlier versions that build again or say exactly what to rename.

Later 9

ghScaff, next version: trunk-based repositories with signed commits on main, security settings and code scanning on every repository, and a knowledge repository for Intelligence

ghscaff

GitKit, next version: commit signing set up in one command, commit messages checked at push, and a stricter lock

gitkit

DemoStage, next version: update and uninstall like every lab CLI, and trunk-based releases

DemoStage gets the consent-first update command the other CLIs have, an uninstall, and the trunk-based release flow with Trusted Publishing.

verveSpace: the creation pipeline

The layer above facetMedia that decides what to create and turns tool outputs into reviewed publications for verveSpace and for UniverLab's own channels.

general

verveSpace: the core (formerly UniverLab Learning)

The local-first learning tool itself: a daily pulse of facetMedia's material scheduled by spaced repetition over competencies, and a socratic tutor agents reach over MCP.

general

Mission Control: a local-first dashboard and CLI over the lab's own tools — announcements, roadmap, releases, graphs

general

Canopy: native Windows

Canopy on Windows without WSL, graph nodes you drive interactively, harness files kept in sync, Intelligence that travels between machines through git, graph metrics in --json and MCP, RAG collections you can evaluate, and agent context per node role.

canopy

verveSpace: LMS plugins, Moodle first

Plugins that bring verveSpace into existing LMSs, starting with Moodle, once the core is proven.

general

Package-manager distribution: Homebrew and winget

Refine Canopy web: session and graph control from the phone, resume, a folder picker and better keyboard handling

Close sessions, pause and continue graphs, and resume past sessions from the remote; browse the host folders when starting one; and a phone keyboard that opens only when asked and never covers the terminal.

canopy

Canopy: a graphs catalogue and remote control — share and install graph and node designs, drive your sessions from your phone, and a leaner MCP surface

Shared graphs and nodes on graphs.univerlab.org, installed with one command after you see what they run; your canopy sessions on your phone through remote.univerlab.org, peer to peer and end-to-end encrypted; and a smaller MCP surface where blueprints retire.

Landing, fourth pass: the Grand Test Bench redesign, a roadmap page agents can read, and astro-denoise brought up to date

A vintage technical-illustration redesign: one machine per experiment on a navigable bench, /experiments back as the catalogue, a /roadmap page agents can read, TeXForge templates and ghScaff boilerplates listed, and astro-denoise's page and proposal PDF up to date.

general

Canopy fixes: a calmer TUI, missions you can win, and a re-recorded demo

Patch from using 3.1 every day: Canopy-coloured dialogs, a New/Resume step in New Session, knowledge you browse as a list, F1 as a dialog reachable from any session, curated header messages, missions that can actually be won, and the re-recorded demo.

hold: Built with the small versions; ships with them

Small versions: an update command in every CLI (texforge, gitkit, ghScaff, DemoStage)
